‘CP Strong’
A unique project for a friend, father, husband, and son. We’re proud to be part of Chris Parker’s battle against brain cancer. We’re a small part in Chris’ fight, but we’re proud to create something that can help fundraise in an extraordinarily difficult time for his family, not only emotionally and physically, but financially. These hats are available now on our website, with proceeds going directly to Chris and his family.

Here’s more about Chris and his current journey:

My name is Chris Parker. Father of two beautiful little girls, Charlotte and Emmeline, husband to Meagan and I have grade 4 Brain Cancer.

On January 4th of 2024, after a workout, and without any prior warning of symptoms, I had a seizure in my gym locker room. I was found by the manager who called 911 and paramedics checked my vitals. All seemed normal but my wife pleaded with me to go to the Urgent Care and get checked. It was then that the CT scan showed a 5cm mass on my right frontal lobe.

One week later on January 11th I was operated on by one of the best brain surgeons in the country. He performed a 4 hour craniotomy in which he resected (cut out) all of the tumour. A tumour we later found out was a Grade 4 Diffuse Glioma. Specifically a Grade 4 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Three weeks after surgery, I started dual chemoradiotherapy, where they gave me 180mg of Temozolomide chemo (based off body mass) and 6 weeks of photon radiation. With the aggressiveness of diffuse glioma, especially Gr. 4, I was told we needed to be aggressive back.

Throughout this treatment, I have MRIs every couple of months to make sure treatment is working. By the nature of this cancer, it will always try to come back.
It is an arduous journey; one I wouldn’t wish on anyone. 6 months ago I was a washed up rugby player, healthy as a horse, now they’re taking about giving me “runway”. But the bottom line is I will do anything to be around for my family for the years to come.

I sincerely appreciate your support. CP Strong.
